THANK YOU for your loyal support this year folks, it means a great deal to me, and I'm very thankful.
Next year promises to be a huge year of new projects, with some excellent ideas ready to be produced, as well as the start of some regular and exclusive "Patron Only" content: A series of projects and free plans created specifically for Clickspring patrons. I'll tell you a bit more about it next year, but I'm very, very excited abou...

The "Impossible Dovetail" project requires a rather unique narrow taper dovetail cutter. So in this video I make my own from oil hardening (O1) tool steel. Enjoy!
Cheers,
Chris.

Hey Folks,
I'm going to try something new here and list the prototype for this build on Ebay. I'm not entirely sure how it will go, but if it works out, it could be a good way to help fund some more of the projects in the future.
The auction can be found here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/-/262168127592?

Hey Folks,
Its a bit tricky to get a consistent, uniform blue on long slender parts like clock hands. So I made a third component for the bluing tray set, to do the job right.
Cheers,
Chris.

Hey Folks,
Here is the first of a set of 4 new videos - This one is about how to make an old school cutter known as a D Bit. I love making and using these cutters for milling and countersinking, but I particularly like them for drilling deep, straight holes. They are incredibly accurate, and can leave a surface finish that often approaches what you can get from a HSS reamer - and that's from a shop made drill!
I'm finishing of...

Hey Folks,
Just a quick update for you regarding the latest videos.
I've got 4 videos on the go at the moment; one is the next clock project video showing the fabrication of the click and clickspring, and the other three are 'spare parts' videos that I've spun off from the main feature video.
I had expected to have just the one spare parts video this month as well as the feature, and so I was planning to have...

Hey Folks,
The main clock video is uploading as I write this, so all going well you'll see it in about 12 hours.
Until then, here's an additional spare parts video that I recorded yesterday afternoon. I've been meaning to record something about the problems with drilling brass for some time, and decided that since the next clock episode has a lot of drilling, that now is the perfect time.
All the best,
Chris.

Hi Folks,
This is the first of 2 videos for you this weekend, a nice quick build of a right angled screwdriver.
I'm finishing off some of the final edits for the main project video today, so you should see that one on Sunday morning.
Cheers,
Chris.
