Modestycore is finally released!!

Not super sure how I feel about it being released, you know I always feel sad about finishing a video but it is a good thing that it is out in the world and not trotting around in my brain for infinity. I'm gonna take a few days to process.

I just filmed again today. This is actually the most filming I've ever done for a video because everything has to be filmed twice but can't be filmed on the same day. The looks above are an ode to trashycore. How beautiful it is that technology exists to make thigh-high socks stick to your thighs using silicone. Once modestycore Is done, I will cleanse myself by window shopping at trashy stores in the mall. 🤲

Modestycore update

I'm going to try and film some of my hardest and final scenes this week ahhhh!! I finally figured out how to make my head look realistically severed from my body thank G-D! It only took a custom-made pillow and green screen suit. I also think I figured out what kind of makeup goes better with this character and feel excited that I didn't just settle for my initial designs. I followed a few Korean beauty tutorials.

I think I might have found a framing device to shape my headless woman character. The video opens with the audience being brought to her office. The factory is dismal and cold but her office is very feminine and aesthetic. She asks you a question about why you have been brought in, she's very bored and wants to talk to you about modesty and cute clothes.

had to meditate mid applying eyeliner

I am dragging my tail. For some reason, the filming of my modestycore video has been hard on me emotionally. The other day I set everything up for filming and spent an hour fixing and redoing my eyeliner, which frustrated me. I literally had to sit on the floor and do a 19-minute meditation to relax and get it done. I am NOT sure what is happening but I seem to be making a small video about Nuncs. Nuncs are nerds that have nothing to do with nerd culture. Nerds are dead, long live nuncs! I feel the same magic making this video as I did the snoring man video. It's small, absurd and me just playing around.

I have a pretty shirt argh!!!! It's so pretty it kind of makes me mad, like how can I ever buy a cuter garment. Yes that's right it happened, although there was an aha moment and click, to give myself some credit, I had been crafting themes for a few weeks. HOWEVER, I'm not totally in the clear, I need a funny and interesting script, I need to finish my costume, I need to make a miniature moth sculpture....I might also have to learn a new language to sing a folk song in farsi...we'll see!

Ok I have spent the past two weeks cleaning up, redoing or changing the design of my moth girl cosplay. 

Headpiece: I added a delicate mothy feather to the antenna, took out the plastic eyeball pieces and made a bug eye with clay and sewed it on.

Which boots should I transform into insect legs? The black boots that are shiny and kinda of look like insect legs but are actually falling apart and I already threw them in the trash? Or the white boots that are a little scuffed but go really well with the colour pallet of my character?

Almost done my romance video about a cartoon snoring man

This video feels very me without filter and I and i'm pumped about it!! I literally have no idea how i'm going to "market" this video or pitch it to people, or what youtube tags i'm gonna use. Maybe that means it's so pure it can't be categorized. I do kind of give a demo on how to style your sleeping shirt to look like a medieval wedding dress, maybe I can attract a new crowd with that premise.
