How the Auction will Work! (Please Read if you intend to Participate)

Hey gang, we've gotten a lot of questions on how the upcoming character auction for being one of the Barista's in Elliot's cafe will work. This character is a minor role which will appear on occasion, the frequency of which is dependent on how well the character fits into the story.

Firstly, thank you all for showing interest, I really appreciate it and I'm hoping this ends up being a good idea in the long run, it seemed like a good way to celebrate, and depending on how this goes, we may do something else, or another auction in the distant future.

How the auction will work is as follows, on the 1st of May, a post will be opening up to Patrons. That post will declare the Starting Bid, for the sake of transparency we'll start at $100 just for the sake of full transparency. We've based this starting bid on Shiuk's commissions while also paired with the fact that the character is intended to be a side character and not taking any leading role.

I will have a comment on that post that says Starting Bid - $100, the first person to comment will either comment SB! (Indicating they are bidding the starting price) Or, they may raise their initial bid from our Starting price if they so wish. Then each following bid will be incremental by $5, so the next bid would be $105, then $110. Naturally, if you so choose you may bid more than that skipping to $120 or $130, so long as the value is divisible by 5. This will continue until a bid goes uninterrupted for 24 hours, at which point the prize of 1 character sprite drawn by a lovely Shiuk will be given to the winner upon completion.

This auction will be done in USD, so be sure to keep your relative currency in mind when bidding. I'll be counting on you to be able to do the relative translation so you know you're not overbidding and breaking your wallet.

Lastly, there's been some questions on limitations on character designs. I've decided to set hard rules on the allowed submissions, and there may be some additional negotiations on these rules.

General Dis-qualifiers:

• A lack or excess of limbs. Your character will have 2 legs and 2 arms, and a maximum of 1 tail.
• No unnatural colors, this means no glowing anything, no violet or gold sclera (the white part of the eye), if your character looks more like a rainbow flag than an animal that might exist in nature, it's probable that I won't allow it. Tattoos/Dyes are also a bit of a touchy subject and may need negotiation to tone down the vibrancy of color if it is an extreme color but that's more on the scale of conversation.
• Your character is expected to have a standard name, BoulderGuy67 or Dick McStud, are generally unacceptable.

In the event that someone wins the auction, and we then cannot reach a consensus on the character design, they refuse to pay, or other such difficulties transpire, the prize will go to the next highest bid.
