Update on the ongoing Hiatus...
Added 2021-11-30 09:18:03 +0000 UTCHey gang. So as you all know, the project has been on a release hiatus. However, a lot of people have been asking when the hiatus is ending. The issue with that question, is that I no longer know the answer for sure.
Melo our former lead programmer unfortunately is getting hit with a lot of real-life problems, seeking new employment and new residence, in addition to the health concerns it just hasn't been realistic for him to continue work on the project for the time-being.
So, where does that leave us? We've brought on Wattson for the time-being to work in Melo's stead in an effort to keep the train moving. Some of you may know of him already for the other projects he's currently working on, he's a very busy guy, and adding in that he's starting with a framework that he didn't design and it can stand to reason that progress may be a bit slower on the programming front.
What he's currently working on is finishing up the UI framework we started design on, in addition to polishing some other features that we intended to release. In the meanwhile he's also helping me rework our sprite layering system, so that I can call certain expression sets more easily. (So that I'm not relying on someone else to tweak the syntax of the scripts to be compiled into builds.)
We'll continue not charging on the Patreon until we start pushing builds out again, as much as my wallet might be hurting a bit, it genuinely doesn't feel right to charge you all for a product that I'm currently not delivering, that said I figured you all needed to know about the staff change as well as the likelihood that we aren't gonna come back right at the start of 2022 like I'd planned...
I'm genuinely sorry for the wait, but I do hope it ends up being worth it. Shiuk is still drawing us assets in the meanwhile on months he works with us, Hugh is still composing some pieces, and I'm still writing so we're progressing just not in a way that's visible at the moment. I'll be sure to keep you all posted with any major updates at they come up, and I hope you all stick with us on our journey.

Thanks for the update Rook. Sorry that things haven't improve much as of yet for you guys and it's always best to look after yourselves first, then get back to the VN. Sucks that some people can't understand other people's situations and empathize with them.

For me, We had already lost a life and my heart is breaking if we lost another one, I'm not betting, but we must understand that you guys are people too so shit happens that you can't control. Hopefully, it will all be better next year. Health is more important. It's great to let us know this and be worried about disappointing your fans, but it's not worth it if you are not here. Get better Melo
