Introducing the Kinoko Fan Club!

Howdy folks, and welcome to the brand new Kinoko Fan Club!

We've been wishing to launch a membership scheme for our supporters for a while now, but we've never known quite how to go about it or what we'd really do with one... until today!

Every single membership we sell here will directly contribute to the development of the Kinoko game and project. Right now we're just a humble team of two, but in the future we'd really love to be able to fund an expansion of our team and dramatically increase our output, and your patronage will really help us get there.

For the time being, we're launching with two tiers.

Kinoko Fan Club

You can join the Kinoko Fan Club for as little as $1 USD!

Through Patreon, Kinoko Fans will have access to regular, bite-sized blog posts showing off our works-in-progress that we aren't quite ready to share with the general public. You'll get to see more of what we're getting up to behind-the-scenes, both here on Patreon and also in our Discord server, where you'll have exclusive access to two new channels: #updates, our new read-only channel where we post our daily progress updates, and #fan-club, a dedicated discussion channel!

For becoming a member of the Kinoko Fan Club, you'll also receive the coveted 'Follower of Kinoko' vanity role in our Discord server, which will override your existing 'Follower of Galaxy' or 'Follower of Blackhole' role, and which from now on will appear separate in the online users list to other members.

Kinoko Super Fan Club

As a Kinoko Super Fan, you'll have access to all the same great stuff as Kinoko Fans but you'll also have access to an additional tier of posts. You'll be the first to hear about our new ideas almost as soon as they're conceived, with access to the roughest sketches and game clips. Not only that, but you'll also get access to polls. Whenever we find ourselves torn between two or more options, you'll be amongst the people we consult for guidance. (Obligatory disclaimer: final decisions will always be made at the discretion of the development team, voting results may not necessarily reflect in the final product.)

For becoming a member of the Kinoko Super Fan Club, you'll receive the even-more-coveted 'Apostle of Kinoko' vanity role in our Discord server, which will override your existing 'Follower of Galaxy' or 'Follower of Blackhole' role, and which will appear separate in the online users list - directly beneath the admins and moderators!

Existing Ko-fi subscriber?

Yes, we do currently have a small handful of active subscribers over on Ko-fi. If you're one of them, look out for a post over there a little later on today, where we'll be explaining why we've made the switch and what you can do about it. Unfortunately we don't have the power to cancel your subscriptions, so you'll need to do that yourself, but in short we'll be encouraging all existing Ko-fi members to come over to Patreon to start enjoying a wider range of benefits at a lower cost!
