Concept art of the N.E.X
Added 2024-03-24 22:36:32 +0000 UTCGalactic's "Nexus Engine X-9000", or "N.E.X." for short, boasts capabilities that far surpass the electronic devices we're used to on Earth. This alien supercomputer can be operated as either a tablet or a laptop, and its broad feature set makes it the perfect companion for any travelling adventurer. It also very good at collecting data from other species, much like a Pokedex, since our game is going to be designed around collecting data.
I designed some hieroglyphics-styled aliens that will be viewed on the N.E.X until clicked on to see their proper look. This was inspired by Jumba's computer from Lilo and Stitch when they show stylised representations of each experiment on the device.
I would love to apply this to our world to give it a much more alien + space like feel to it and this can only be viewed on the N.E.X if you've already scanned the species.
Would love to hear what people think of this, should I stick with the stylised computer look or should I just use regular images?
