Time To Vote For The Next Game!

Casen and I have been working on building up a buffer again--so that we can be a couple of weeks ahead--so next Thursday we'll be filming the last two Final Fantasy Tactics episodes (5 total). For the next game, we want to do a "one-off" game, something very short that can be covered in one episode. After that, we'll move on to a "State of the Arc Sequel" poll, where you'll vote on Xenosaga, Nier Automata, and Mass Effect 2. Anyway, let us know which "one-off" game you'd like to see after FFT!

2022-01-20 04:37:06 +0000 UTCI would like you to play Spec Ops: The Line because I bought the game on Steam but turns out it, and a number of other games originally for the 360 will not play due to some strange disc formatting issue. But I don't think it's going to pull through by Friday. Never heard of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice before but you guys have demonstrated fine taste in the past so I'm sure it'll be up my alley.

The list for the sequels poll seems to be missing a game though... because Vagrant Story is a sequel to Tactics right? Not entirely directly a sequel, but even so....

2022-01-15 20:48:39 +0000 UTCOh boy..having a hard time choosing between Hellblade and Edith Finch..two of my absolute favourite games from the last few years. I guess I'll go for Hellblade purely because it seems to have a chance of winning, and because What Remains of Edith Finch has maybe fewer thematic/background elements worth diving deep into.. It also has the kind of story which I feel can stand on its own, where the emotional resonance is what really carries it through..parts of it touched me on a very personal level (beyond what most games have done) and part of me wants to keep that private connection and doesn't actually want to hear an objective, dissection/analysis of its story... But then again I'd be quite interested to hear if you guys felt a similar resonance... Oh well! I'll just go for Hellblade, and hope to hear your thoughts on Edith Finch some other time ;)
