Hello my dear patrons! I hope you're doing well!
First of all, thanks so much for all your kind words and your understanding on my previous post, I appreciate it so so much.
This past week was rough, as I was constantly trying to find some creative energy when my mind was clearly in other places, which led to a couple of bad drawing days and a bit of frustration as well. But I think I'm doing better now! I feel the urge to draw slowly coming at me again haha
I don't have a lot of stuff to share with you today, but hopefully it might interest you :)
β¦ I kept playing around with ink and Posca markers on my Artgecko sketchbook, I used references from Pinterest !

I loved this experiment because I was able to use some lovely Posca colors to add details and paint certain parts without sacrificing my lineart (which is my "safe space") so yeah, I liked it a lot and hope to do more spreads like this one!
β¦ I also decided to customize the cover of the sketchbook with Posca markers! I normally never do this, I just like to put a cute sticker on the center and that's it haha but I wanted it to look different I guess and luckily, doing these little leaf thingies was very therapeutic πββοΈ

β¦ Speaking of sketchbooks, I'm about to finish my "ugly" sketchbook (the one I use to sketch ideas, and doodle and paint without minding the result) so I needed a new one! Normally, I want these sketchbooks to be cheap, so I don't feel any kind of pressure when drawing or if I waste space/ paper. I did a bit of research and I found out the Art Creation sketchbook from Talens, which is wayyy cheaper than a Moleskine and it's gorgeous.
Talens is the brand that makes all the Ecoline products, which I always loved, so I kinda trusted that it was going to be good!

And to be honest, I wasn't disappointed at all :D they come in various lovely colors and sizes and the paper quality is pretty good! Not ideal for watercolors, but personally I'm not planning on using it for that a lot.
However, I did some quick tests with inks and it holds up pretty pretty well. The pages are a liiitle bit too yellow-ish maybe, but nothing terrible and yes, alcohol markers do bleed through :P

But anyways, I really can't wait to start using it and see how it goes. I'm happy to have another sketchbook option to recommend that is more affordable πΈ
β¦ Here's a wip of one of my next digital illustrations -if I ever get to finish it- The Trix from Winx Club

β¦ Last thing for today is this Primer drawing that I decided to color in a couple of days ago!

Tomorrow I'll post a little drawing session of another Ghibli study I recorded for the Sea Song tier :)
Thank you so much for being here π»β€οΈ
Big hugs,
Gret
