I like the decision to have Asheron actually guiding Selena rather than her just doing something willy nilly. It gives a sort of Darkar esthetic where the main villain isn't there but his influence is unmistakable. Plus it actually makes it seem like he's a potential powerful and knowledgeable enemy to provide Selena with such ancient secrets.

A lot of people bring it up but no one has ever made an deep dive in exactly how the show or world building would have been affected by the extra inclusion of witches.
