Well, last night was... eventful is one way to describe things.

Brocton's latest magically inclined Parahuman got involved in a straight up teleporter duel with our very own Oni Lee. Don't get too excited everyone, ended as a draw. Video clips here, here, and here.

Yes, that's Lung himself showing up at the end.

Magus and his Apprentice were apparently on patrol last night when they happened on a shootout between the BBPD and the ABB. All gangmembers were neutralized with a non-lethal takedown at range, leaving the pair to liaise with the police in the aftermath.

Oni Lee chose to initiate hostilities, injuring one police officer. Magus proceeded to hold him off, protecting the injured officer, while the police and Apprentice (That is apparently her official, if temporary, name) withdrew from the fighting.

As anyone can see from the video, the conflict was a draw. While Oni Lee was able to keep from being captured, killed, or injured in the fighting... Magus similarly escaped unscathed... while saving the police officer's life in the process. Lung's presence on site... de-escalated the situation when they opted to speak rather than continue the fight.

Yes, I am aware of how bizarre that sounds.

Anyway, looks like Magus has some badass cred to his name now. Punting HookChihuahua across a warehouse was cool, but just chatting with Lung and Oni Lee after he and Lee tried to unalive each other just seconds earlier?

Brass ones, Magus. Brass ones.

Then does he go home for the night like any SANE person?

Hell no. We have video of him popping all around town, seemingly at random, and just totally wrecking the night of at least fifteen criminals, all in the process of assaulting people or breaking in homes and such.

Seriously, how the hell did he even learn about half those things? I can't find any hits on Law Enforcement channels prior to Magus calling them in.

Precog powers too?

He has something going for him there, @bagrat, no doubt.

Check out number thirteen on the list. There's video of that one, and Magus showed up just BEFORE those geniuses tripped the alarm.

Does anyone have a power count on him yet? So far I've confirmed Shaker, Blaster, Mover, Thinker... and tentatively I think maybe Brute and Stranger apply too?

If he's a grab bag, someone go steal the bag back from him already.

Still putting it together, @AllSeeingEye, but I have a couple sources claiming that the PRT is going to drop a Tinker rating on him, if they don't just slap him with a Trump score and call it a day.

Either one would explain the variety he's showing.

Lisa groaned as she logged off the laptop and closed it down. She really did need those painkillers, but she was getting dangerously close to overdosing on them as it was.

Thinker headaches suck, She thought with wry amusement at how much that sentiment was underselling things.

Closing off the lights she laid back on her bed and tried very hard not to think about the Parahuman named Magus. Magus was… not quite a blindspot or anything like that, but for her he was somehow worse. She wasn’t used to getting conflicting information from her own power like this.

One minute, the Trump label seems to fit. The next? Could be anything from simple combat thinker, to blaster, to mover…

She’d spent time studying Eidolon, and his powers didn’t mess with her nearly this badly. With him it was more like… parts of his powers were blacked out, censored from her as if someone had simply declared them to be classified and that was that. Magus? He was actively spoofing her abilities, and it hurt.

The Boss can go fuck himself tonight. I’ll send in my report in the morning,  She thought as she killed her phone and curled up deep in the blankets, trying to ignore the throbbing in her skull.
