Thanks for this conversation. I saw Jaws in a theatre in Red Deer Alberta Canada as a pre-teen (probably 1976). I was so affected that I was hesitant to swim in a fresh water lake that same summer despite knowing there were no sharks. To this date open deep water disturbs me probably more for what is hidden than the danger of drowning. I re-watched Jaws last year, still great.
