Another item to consider having is Iodoform Gauze. As a Dental Tech in the Navy, we used it for packing "dry sockets" after a tooth extraction. Eugenol (aka Clove Oil) is also great for dry sockets. Either presoaked or add to gauze. Used tea bags can also be used for dry sockets. Iodoform gauze can also be used to pack a small wound to allow for drainage.
