I had the same experience watching the MV for the first time. I had to watch it so many times for different reasons π But basically, itβs a continuation of Ditto. While Ditto is the parasocial relationship from the fanβs perspective, OMG is from the Idolβs perspective. They have to kinda live for others and serve them with music and content just like a phone. Sometimes you loose yourself in the process. Minji thinks sheβs a doctor, Hanni thinks sheβs an iPhone, Haerin thinks sheβs a cat, and Hyein thinks sheβs a princess in a fairytale. Meanwhile, Danielle knows theyβre NewJeans, but because no one knows what sheβs talking about, she seems out of it as well. Thereβs also little references in the MV as well. Like Hanni writing the message to and taking a photo of Heesoo (The girl from Ditto), Haerinβs drawings being in Hyeinβs fairytale, the book Hyein opens up has a list of the real life fairytales that hers is based off of, etc. Iβm glad that the storyline creativity Hybe groups tend to have is also getting passed onto NewJeans. I wasnβt expecting it and it was fun to look into all the therories. It brought me back to the BTS universe π
