The Monthly Q & A videos

Hi Folks,

With the introduction of the Patron Series of projects that I mentioned recently, I have decided to make a few changes to Patreon, and one of them is to discontinue the Q & A video series.

The Q & A videos have worked well, but the questions have slowed to a trickle recently, and I think it is an idea that has probably run its course.

It usually takes me at least 2 days to record and edit the Q & A vids, which doesn't sound like much, but because I mostly do this on my weekends, it tends to set back my production plans by a whole week. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I'm itching to get into these new projects and I think I can get better value to you by focusing my time exclusively on the project videos in future.

I know this will probably disappoint some, and I completely understand if you decide to adjust or even discontinue your support. I'm going to remove the $10 reward level later today, but I do hope you will continue to help me to create these videos.

Be assured that as a patron you will always get first priority with email replies, and a detailed response to all of your email questions.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments below, and again, thank you for your support.

Cheers,

Chris.

I think Jon G summed it up Chris, now take all of that spare time you have and get cracking! Cheers Jim

having to push back your production plans is frustrating. do what you need to do in order to do what you want to do.

Yes I definitely agree with you Paul - The next Patron Series projects to follow the BSC will be shorter duration, fun builds that everyone will want to have a crack at :)

Chris, for your consideration maybe in the future you can have a less ambitious project leaving you more time for smaller projects ex. tool making, horological devices etc. I haev loved these videos. Paul

Terrific to have your support Jonathan :)

Asking questions in the comments seems sufficient for me. I doubt a video response would be required to answer any question I had, certainly! Plus it frees you up some more - always a good thing.

Thanks Steve, appreciate your understanding :)

Hey Chris - there's no way I'm unsubscribing if it will give you time to make more project videos (plus it's simple enough for us to just ask questions on these threads and everyone can read them - if it's complicated enough answer or there is enough interest, you can do a one-off video). Looking forward to seeing the new projects! -Steve

Don't sweat it Chris. I look forward to, and learn from, whatever you produce.
