I'm very pleased to announce that I'm in the process of uploading all Clickspring video content to vessel.com

Nothing changes for YouTube; exactly the same content will appear on both platforms at exactly the same time, its just another option for you to view the videos, and it gives me some peace of mind that the videos are hosted in more than one location.

Importantly, nothing changes for Clickspring Patrons either. I won't be taking up the "early access to content" option offered by Vessel, so Patreon remains the only place to receive early access to Clickspring videos, and will be the only place to view the exclusive video content that I'm working on.

I'm in the process of uploading the latest clock episode as I write this, so keep an eye out for that soon, and I'll be online for the next few hours if you have any questions :)

Congrats on the growth, Chris :)

Hey Chad, yes mainly time. Setting up for single point threading on these Chinese lathes is a bit time consuming, because they use change gears rather than a quick change gearbox. Up to about M10 (and assuming its not a long thread) I find it quicker to just use dies. Above that size, and the dies get a bit too much to muscle around the stock on my little lathes without the stock slipping in the chuck, so I use single point threading. The upcoming Patron Series project that you will see soon, has some detailed single point threading on the red lathe. Cheers mate :)

Hey Chris I have a quick question. In all of your videos, I have only seen you use taps and dies for thread cutting. Is this for a particular reason other than saving time??

Hey Dan, Vessel approached me a few months ago to come on board, and I just really liked their attitude. Totally cool to deal with, and much more personal than YT. Don't really know much about Vimeo to be honest :)

Hey Gareth, yes definitely. I have the next long term project in development now, and I will talk a bit more about it as the clock gets closer to the finish line :)

Clickspring

cool, having more than one basket for your eggs is always a good thing. Never tried vessel - will be interesting. Quick question - the clock has been the long running project for your channel; will you be considering taking on another equally challenging project once you've completed it?

Why vessel instead of something like Vimeo, if you're still using patreon for support?
