I love hearing her voice. We never talked on the phone once before the pandemic. Since last March weโve talked almost every day. The way she says โHey darlinโ...โ when I pick up makes me grin like a goof. โI love you my babe,โ our mantra when we say goodbye. I always remind her to โbe safe!โ if sheโs at work, she always replies โYes maโam.โ Two more sleeps until I get to fall asleep in her arms, and make good on all of these promises.
