今回は、日本一の炭酸泉とも呼ばれる「七里田温泉」に行ってきました♨️

This time, I visited Shichirida Onsen, also known as the best carbonated hot spring in Japan: ♨️

阿蘇・九重周辺は、360℃緑が広がる自然豊かなドライブコースが多くあります。

気持ちよくドライブを楽しみながら、七里田温泉を目指します！

There are many nature-rich driving courses in the Aso-Kuju area, where you can enjoy 360°C of greenery.

あと2km。

七里田温泉のそばに長湯温泉もあります。

There are 2 km to go.

There is also Nagayu Onsen by Shichirida Onsen.

七里田温泉に到着。

I arrived at Shichirida Onsen.

中には地元のお野菜などが売っており、広めの休憩室もありました。

There were local vegetables and other items for sale inside, and a spacious rest room.

サインや写真も多々ありました。

錦野旦さん。大分出身だったんだ。

There were many autographs and photos.

（木の葉の湯露天風呂）(Kinoha-no-yu Open-air bath)

七里田温泉には「木乃葉の湯」と「下湯」（下ん湯）があります。

長い間地元の人々の共同浴場として使われてきました。

Shichirida Onsen has "Kinoha-no-yu" and "Shitayu" (Shitanyu).

These have long served as communal bathhouses for the locals.

特に「下湯」（下ん湯）は入浴適温に近い温度で、濃度の高い炭酸を保つ、

まさにソーダ水の様な高濃度炭酸泉です。

In particular, the " Shitayu " (Shitanyu) is close to the optimum bathing temperature and maintains a high concentration of carbonic acid, It is a highly concentrated carbonated spring that is just like soda water.

「下湯」（下ん湯）は、建物の老朽化などの理由から2022年11月から休業。

そして、2023年6月にリニューアルし営業再開するということで、早速来てみました！

Shitayu has been closed since November 2022 due to the aging of the building and other reasons.

In June 2023, Shitayu will be renovated and reopen for business, so I visited there as soon as possible!

こちらが改修前の「下湯」（下ん湯）です。

温泉の成分が固まり、ひとつの芸術作品のように見えます。

This is the "Shitayu" before renovation.

The ingredients of the hot spring have hardened, and it looks like a work of art.

私が訪れた時はまだ改修中でしたが、ほとんど姿が出来上がっていました。

完成図通りの綺麗な建物に生まれ変わっていました。

At the time of my visit, the building was still under renovation, but the figure was almost complete.

The building was beautifully transformed as shown in the finished drawings.

脱衣所も拝見。

木の香りに包まれた綺麗な脱衣所です。

Let's take a look at the changing rooms.

It is a clean changing room surrounded by the scent of wood.

生まれ変わった浴室がこちら。

とても綺麗になっており、以前の下湯の面影は殆どありません。

前の方が好きだという方もいるでしょうし、綺麗な方がいいと思う方もいるでしょう。

個人的には以前の姿が好きですが、老朽しいずれ無くなってしまうよりは、

いつまでも七里田のお湯を残し続けてほしいという思いです。

Here is the reborn bathroom.

It is very clean, and there is almost no trace of the former Shimoyu.

Some may prefer the old one, and some may prefer the clean one.

Personally, I like the way it used to look, but I prefer it to be dilapidated and eventually gone, I would like to see the hot water of Shichirida remain forever.

肝心な泡つき具合については、

以前がどの程度の泡つきだったのか分からないのでなんとも言えませんが、

しっかり泡がついていました！

今までに浸かったことのある炭酸泉は、

目に見えるか見えないかほどの細かい泡でしたが、

七里田の泡はひと回り大きいように見えました。

As for the bubbles, the bubbles were very firm!

The bubbles at Shichirida seemed to be larger than the bubbles at other carbonated springs I have soaked in, which were so fine you could barely see them.
