Super late to this party, but I wish there were more conversations about all of Lois McMaster Bujold's outstanding books. I don't think people voted for the Vorkosigan series because too few have read it! But it's so good!! Her "World of the Five Gods" (Chalion) fantasy series is also outstanding for those who don't love SF (or who love both). Read them!
