Yeah just shows what a softy Vegeta really has become π Now playing the Saiyan saga in Kakarot, hearing Vegeta say he doesn't care about Frieza blowing up Namek and could care less about other Saiyans...that was shocking to hear. We do like Caulifla more under Goku's tutelage π

2024-12-06 15:48:12 +0000 UTCI still think itβs a miracle they were able to go from the first arcβs art quality to the tournamentβs quality despite being expected to yield a full episode each week for 3 years. The show unfortunately spent the rest of its airtime till 2018 trying to pay this schedule debt from 2015. It doesnβt shock me that they cut corners where possible to direct their thin resources to make the big moments pop even more. Glad that Toei has learned the lesson since.

That pair also makes so much sense becuz Caulfila has the same exact excitement for fighting like Goku does. Kelfa also reminds me so much of Vegito. 17 & 18's bickering is also a mirror to the future version of them. In the future version they were evil & they always kinda bickered about who's fighting who. I always found that kinda cool.

2024-12-05 20:56:08 +0000 UTC9:25 Not expecting anyone to agree, but I gotta say: I think that Catopesra (the U3 guy) is a much better parody character than the animeβs version of the U2 and most of U11. I genuinely like his gag of having these over the top mode changes and demeanor because he doesnβt overstay his welcome or act too pretentious (imo).

2024-12-05 20:09:07 +0000 UTC8:50 Oh yeah, little weird trivia fact about this U2 guy w/ the cape and stache: Some old official character descriptions described him as being a member of the Tuffles (or Tsufruians). This race was the one that inhabited Planet Vegeta back when it was still known as Planet Plant before the Saiyans took it over. This never comes up anywhere in the anime or manga, and itβs never explained what a member of their race is doing in U2 in the first place. I remember people thinking that he was going to be a bigger deal in the tournament because of this, much like U2βs Yardrat Jimizu (which didnβt pan out).

2024-12-05 20:06:02 +0000 UTCMan, when that Autonomous Ultra Instinct theme hits, you're eyes widen because it comes out of nowhere, and hits hard. Once again, my favorite form appears alongside Kefla's Legendary Super Saiyan Controlled form. I'll say it once, and I'll say it again, I love Blue with Kaioken. It looks so good and that aura is incredible. BTW, I'm hoping by the end of the series y'all are singing along to the opening from start to finish.

In my opinion this episode might be one of the biggest demonstrations of DBSβ sketchy production. Not saying itβs the worst in existence, but youβd think that a fight between Goku and a fused character wouldβve warranted better animation than what we ended up getting here. Good thing thatβs not the case for what comes next (in parts, at least).
