Toei (the animation studio) made it as filler, and for non-manga readers it adds WAY too much confusion for the story later on. So for Odaโs sake, please pretend that the contents of flashback never happened, itโs the only way to understand the rest of the arc.

For Japanese speakers, it was easy to recognize that Den was probably Tomโs brother even though they hadnโt given us any information about him yet, because they sounded so much alike, even if they didnโt look remotely similar.
