Rum's Rambles! - just some quick updates, been working on my recording setup (also new audio out on Reddit!!)
Added 2024-05-24 22:45:48 +0000 UTCI've been a bit quiet the past couple weeks but I've been hard at work! I just wanted to update you guys on how it's been going. (Also you can probably tell from my voice in this that I am getting over a cold too ๐คง)

Thank you for the check-in. Missed hearing your voice! ๐ซถ๐พ I was a little worried about you, but Iโm glad that things are good, just busy (which is a good thing)! I appreciate you working hard to make better quality audios for us and canโt wait to hear what you have coming up next. Also, moving is such an arduous process especially on your own, so nothing to be embarrassed about with having things still packed. You described a lot of things, but I hope youโre also getting rest and taking care of yourself too. ๐

2024-05-27 03:15:11 +0000 UTCdiscordโs voice chat is incredible for blocking background audio. We could listen to music and not have it pick it up! I wonder if youโd be able to loop through a private server somehow. Itโd be such a weird workaround ๐

2024-05-27 00:33:17 +0000 UTCI took months and months to unpack when I moved ๐๐ซฃ And I know what you mean about wanting your work to be to your standards. You honestly do such a great job with your audios ๐๐ผโจ๐๐ผ We are always saying that to you because itโs true!! I hope the new setup works nicely once everything arrives, and relieves some of that stress for you! โค๏ธ๐ Enjoy your time with your family and feel better ๐ฅฐ๐

2024-05-25 03:39:05 +0000 UTCThank you for the update. It sounds like things are looking up in the house of Rum! ๐ Your commitment to quality is greatly appreciated. And the new audio on Reddit, ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ Edit to add, I am really proud of you for teaching yourself all these different aspects of audio recording and sound engineering over the years!! Try not to be harsh on yourself for not knowing everything, the important part is that you are always learning and looking for new ways to improve and solve problems. Researching and experimenting is a skill!

2024-05-25 00:35:49 +0000 UTCYessss no one ever talks about their computer fans making noise while recording! ๐ซ My solution though was cheap: have a reeeeally long cord for my microphone and sit on the floor with my mic on a little table and as far away from my computer as I can be ๐ Great for my neck and back? Probably not. Effective? Yes ๐

2024-05-24 23:25:05 +0000 UTCUgh I missed you Rum๐๐ Also, could you maybe let us know on here when you post on reddit? I don't know how to do notifications for that. Thanks for always working so hard on putting out top quality audios. They're always really amazing although I may be a bit biased as you're one of, if not my favorite VA. Maybe try some tea to help finish getting over your cold? My favorite brand is celestial seasonings, blueberry in particular.

2024-05-24 23:19:08 +0000 UTCThank you!! I don't know if it will really sound all that different just yet. But the new setup at least made it much easier for me to edit lol. I'm really hoping once that audio recorder gets delivered I can really work on getting it to sound even better!
