I tried out various things by playing around with adjustment layers and tweaking the colors—it got a bit messy, but it was a good experiment. I hope to get better at drawing this kind of illustration too. "Contrast" might be my favorite song in gakumas. I'd love to make something like a short video for it someday, though I'm not sure when or how yet.
