Crushing it
Added 2021-05-20 03:46:00 +0000 UTCSo I've had two 5k word days recently as I've managed to flush out the ending of the book, setup book 7, and get this thing nearly done. I'm really satisfied with how book 6 is rolling out and the word count is getting up there. I'm over 100k now, and probably will be up to 110k (give or take) when I'm ready to publish. I don't have a publishing date yet, but I'm confident in Summer release. I hope to be all the way done with the first draft this week and onto my first revision shortly after that.
My problem was that since I decided to cut the book in half, I decided to take the plot elements I was planning on using and spread them over two books. That meant I had a bunch of threads that went no where this book and others I needed to reinforce. That was a bit more of a project than I initially considered.

Personally I wouldn’t mind if the book came out in august or September, so long as the quality matches with previous installments. Good luck on your writing, and remember to pace yourself, burnout is a very real thing writers have to face. Be careful it doesn’t happen to you.
