Week 2, or Apparently 20k words a week is a bit excessive
Added 2022-01-30 23:37:49 +0000 UTCWow. I burned out hard on the second week only managing about 12k words. Still much better than the 5k I was doing pre fulltime authoring but not nearly as many as I was hoping. Reviewing, its the normal stuff like I can't sit in front of a computer that long every day and get anything that's good quality. Flip side is that the smaller quantity I produced is pretty solid.
So I'm reevaluating my goals trying to ensure I have enough creative energy to write what you guys want to read but still get things out somewhat faster. Its a challenge and I'm still learning.
Book 7 still progressed well. I'm still not ready to start posting chapters first, I'm a revisionist meaning that I'm still going back into earlier chapters and making sure everything is just so. When I get the first draft completed, I'm hoping to start doing some chapter excerpts.

agreed. just here to support you and info on the status of the next book. prechapters dont do anything for me.

But I think the weekly-ish insights in to "how did this week go" are more than sufficient for me. Heck even if you take a vacation - a post card equivalent is neat.
