So I'm up to 106k words
Added 2022-02-20 23:47:04 +0000 UTCAt the middle point of the final act of Book 7, Tower of the Noobs. The first draft at any rate. I'm right before the final battle and I can't wait to write it.
When I write, I come up with scenes early and then write to them. There are plenty of fun points on the journey, but all of the build up is to a few key moments and Book 7 has one of scenes that I have been envisioning since I wrote up my initial notes from 2018.
I'm amazed that I actually got this far. This should be amazing.
Other stuff, so my 'standard' book size is going to be 120k words for a first draft. Typically I add in a bunch of words when I start the editing process, and then my editor makes me add in a bunch more to 'fill in plot holes' and 'have it make sense to people other than me'.
So the book WILL have the first draft done by the end of the month... but then there is the rest of it before you get to read it.
