Second Draft is finished
Added 2022-03-13 22:29:22 +0000 UTCI finished the first draft about 2 weeks ago. After that, I go through the book using a text to speech app so I can experience it in a different fashion and update as needed to get the book ready for my editor to go through it.
So far my Alpha readers really like it and I'm quite comfortable with how the storyline progressed. There are a few minor updates I might make shifting a bit of content to Book 8, but I'll play that by ear after I get the edited copy back.
The editing process takes a bit, we are probably looking around a month if not longer. I'm shooting for a mid may release but that's just a tentative date at this point. I've already started on the next book, Fifth Era Apocalypse, and that's going to be the next one out of the queue for Aethon. I'm expecting that one to take another 12 weeks + 2 weeks of polish though I'm getting more comfortable in getting large word counts down so I might be able to shoot for a slightly shorter turn around time.
My objective as a full time writer is now 3 books a year. I will be bouncing between series, and there are pros and cons to that. Frankly, I'm worried about burn out and would like to avoid it if at all possible. Having a second series to go after will resolve that issue.
Next book after that will be Noobtown 8 which will finish the current arc of the storyline. My current timeline has that getting started early June so we'll see if I can stay on track.
Chapters will be releasing one per week when I start getting them back from my editor. I'm hoping to have one up NEXT week, but it might be two depending on if she catches something I'll need to address. Chapters released on the Patreon are not 'final' and may be modified before I release the book.
