Fifth Era 2 in Edits
Added 2023-03-12 23:03:49 +0000 UTCSo I submitted the first draft of fifth era over to Aethon's editor. She loved it, of course, but also finished the edits in like 3 days meaning I'm supposed to get back to it and work on it.
So I'm bouncing over there for a bit to finish up that book before I wriggle over to Noobtown again. Trying to write funny war stuff is tricky, so I'm tending to have very dark scenes bookended by humorous bits.
I'm also dropping some of the big reveals in this section as to what actually happened to Charles/Badgelor in getting the divine fragment. That means researching what I actually wrote down in the earlier books to make sure everything lines up well enough.
That's a funny bit about long books. I know 'what happened' but I also wrote it down so what's on page is slightly different than is in my head. The broad strokes are the same, but some of the details I added don't quite line up so I'm having to go through and tweak everything.
All in all, it is another day in the office typing. I'll be working on Noobtown again later this week.
